FAQs

How Do I Schedule?

All potential clients will be scheduled for a brief, 15-minute complimentary video consultation. The consultation is used to help decide if we are the right fit for each other as well as whether or not teletherapy is appropriate for your needs. Request a consultation to get started or use our contact form.

Do You Accept Insurance?

The simple answer - no. Why? Because insurance companies can impose specific rules and regulations on “how” we do therapy, which goes against our philosophy and understanding of the therapeutic process. We are willing to provide you with a receipt- a “superbill” containing service codes and diagnosis required by insurance companies that you can submit for possible reimbursement. You should check with your insurance provider regarding your out-of-network mental health benefits.

Affordable Alternatives?

As a community healer, my goal is to make services accessible to those who may not always have access. Options such as reduced fee or pro bono counseling can help. Reach out today to find out how you may still access services through Melanated Women’s Therapy today!
