Guiding women back to a place where they feel connected to their mind, body, and spirit

Melanated Women’s Therapy, LLC

Many times, as women, we are expected to be the burden bearers for everyone in our lives while our cups are full. We are often expected to be superwomen while suffering in silence. At Melanted Women’s Therapy, LLC, we offer a safe and nurturing space for melanated women and mamas' voices to be heard. A space where melanated (or non-melanated) women and mamas can release that burden and talk openly without fear of judgment about the challenges that come with mothering or simply being a woman in this world.

Mothering is not an individual experience but one of community. I work with ALL women who mother because I recognize that mothering is not limited to birthing a child.

Services

Teletherapy

We provide face-to-face therapy online - commonly known as teletherapy. Meeting virtually offers many unique benefits, including extending our reach beyond Maryland. Thanks to our participation in PSYPACT, we are able to see clients in 30+ participating states. However, it is important to acknowledge that teletherapy has its limitations, which is why we conduct consultation sessions for all potential clients to help determine if teletherapy is an appropriate fit for your needs. All potential clients must have a consultation. Remember, it’s okay not to be okay. Often, women feel reluctant to seek help, as they believe they should be able to manage everything. For too long, melanated women have carried the weight of their families and communities, leading to “overload” or mental and emotional burn-out. Therapy offers a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, supported, and understood, equipping you with valuable tools to navigate these challenges—even those hidden factors beyond your control.
